About
Hi, I’m Bianca. Storyteller, actor, screenwriter, filmmaker, with a side of web geek. Essentially, just the kind of person you want on your side when you’re trying to make a video for the first time.
I believe in the business power of a good story. And I believe there’s no better way to tell a good story than with video. Why should actors and directors have all the fun?
I’m on a mission to help entrepreneurs, consultants, coaches, and other independent types–especially the shy ones–turn their best business stories into videos.
I will coach, guide, cajole, hold your hand, cheer, and brainstorm you into making a video that brings you the results you’re looking for. Online and offline.
My DIY Video experience
Two years ago, me + three other storytellers decided to create our own web series. We had an idea of what it would be about. We started writing our hearts out and we couldn’t believe this was actually going to happen. We were four actresses who were on a tight budget (more like no budget!) who really wanted to put our words on paper onto the screen. We knew we couldn’t afford to hire a film crew and rent out expensive cameras. But we also knew we didn’t want to sacrifice quality for our videos – we were determined to make the best we can on the resources we had.
Since I was the tech-geek of our group, I volunteered to handle all of the technical stuff. I already had a DSLR camera that could shoot video, so I figured that was at least the first step. I then embarked on hours, weeks, and months of research on how to create your own videos. It was overwhelming. And even though I call myself a tech-geek, I found myself nearly drowning in the big ocean of video production. There were way too many instructions, terminology and technical aspects that were just going past my head. I began to get frustrated with myself because I couldn’t figure all of this out quickly enough (we wanted to start shooting asap! We wanted to post these videos on YouTube tomorrow!).
But after months and months of trial and error, experimenting, and even more research, I finally got the hang of this video production process. I had to learn it the hard way because I was doing this all on my own. I travelled quite a long way to learn exactly what it takes to create online videos and I developed a new-found respect for filmmakers and videographers for doing this type of work – it ain’t easy! But even after all those months of frustration, I realized something better: it is possible to create your own videos. If I was able to do it myself, who’s to say you can’t do it? I now believe that just about anyone can create their own videos despite not having hundreds of thousands of dollars to spend.
Want to see how my first-ever video project turned out? Here’s the first episode of the web series I co-created with my friends. We shot this on our own, without a film crew. All we needed was a camera, a tripod, an external mic, a script, and ourselves!

- I associate the word ‘relax’ with adrenaline rush. I have a hard time staying still. I am most relaxed when I’m at work.
- If you combined the characters of Clementine from Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Amélie, and Veronica Mars, you’d get me.
- My web geek-iness started in 7th grade, when I designed my first HTML web page in a workshop. It was 1997. Look at me now.
